What Recon is
Recon researches the companies you're applying to and helps you prepare: company briefs, resume tailoring, cover letters, phone-screen and interview prep, practice and outreach drafts. Accounts are approved by hand. The service is provided as is.
Check what it writes
Recon's documents are written by AI from public data and from what you give it. They can be wrong or out of date. Recon is built not to invent facts about you (rewrites leave [placeholders] for details only you know), but you're responsible for what you send to employers. Read and check everything before you use it.
Recon is a research and writing tool, not career, legal or financial advice, and it can't promise an interview, an offer or any result.
Your account
- Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what's done with your account.
- Upload only your own resume. Paste information about other people only as far as you need it to prepare for a meeting with them.
- Don't use Recon to harass anyone, to break the law or a website's terms, or to resell its output as a service.
- Accounts that break these terms can be suspended or closed.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Credits
- Runs are paid for with prepaid credits, bought in packs in US dollars. Each run's price is shown before you start it and in Settings → Credits & Billing. Prices may change, but never for a run already started.
- A run that fails costs nothing: its credits come back automatically.
- Credits don't expire while the service runs and can't be transferred.
- Purchases aren't refundable, except when a run doesn't deliver the research or data it should. Email us and we'll refund that run.
- Free credits have no cash value and aren't refundable.
- If you use your own API keys, you pay those providers directly under their terms, plus Recon's small per-brief fee shown in Settings.
Limits
Recon depends on outside services and public data that can change or go down, so it may be unavailable or incomplete at times. To the extent the law allows, Recon isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and its total liability to you is limited to what you paid for credits in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
These terms may change as Recon does. Material changes will be shown in the app before they apply.
